Joseph T. Strauss is an attorney at Angelini & DiLeo Law in Oak Brook, Illinois. He focuses his practice on commercial and shareholder litigation and on white collar and federal criminal defense. He represents individuals and businesses in contract, partnership, and shareholder disputes, and he defends individuals charged in state and federal court.

Joseph has been involved in high-stakes litigation since his first year of law school, and he was given responsibilities early that young lawyers rarely get. Before joining the firm, he represented individuals in white collar and federal criminal matters. That work included analyzing complex factual records, researching unsettled areas of law, and drafting dispositive motions and appellate briefs for state and federal courts. He played a significant role in obtaining non-custodial sentences for clients charged in federal and state court. He has appeared for clients in county courts throughout Illinois and in federal courts across the Midwest.

Joseph brings a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy to every matter, along with meticulous attention to detail. He works to understand every part of a dispute, quickly identify the issues that matter most, and advocate effectively under pressure, always with his clients' objectives in view.

Joseph earned his J.D., cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he competed on the Trial Team. He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, in political science and history from Marquette University. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before federal courts in Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri.

Joseph was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, where he attended Boylan Catholic High School.
