Donald J. Angelini, Jr. was born in Elmhurst, Illinois, and attended Fenwick High School, graduating in 1979.


In 1983, Donald graduated from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) Business School with a degree in finance. In 1986, Donald J. Angelini, Jr. was admitted to practice in the State of Illinois after graduating from DePaul University Law School. Donald practiced law at the firm Hinshaw and Culbertson before he joined his brother as his partner in the Law Firm of Angelini & Angelini, which they maintained from 1999 through 2015.


For the last quarter century, Donald J. Angelini, Jr. has been a litigator and has tried in excess of 100 jury trials to verdict.


Donald concentrates his areas of practice in family law, commercial litigation, civil rights litigation, and federal criminal defense.


Donald has tried domestic relations matters including, removal, custody, business valuation, and property division, and he is often brought in as lead counsel for other domestic relations attorneys when their cases are set for trial. Counsel has defended individuals who have been engaged in complex chancery matters and specializes in the defense of restrictive covenants, non-compete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, etc. For the last three decades, Donald has also successfully defended individuals who were indicted and prosecuted in the federal criminal system.


Donald has obtained verdicts and settlements that were widely reported in Chicago and national news publications. Donald settled the highest reported payment in Cook County, Illinois for a life insurance claim which had been previously denied under allegations of fraud in the amount of three million two hundred and fifty thousand ($3,250,000.00) dollars.


Donald J. Angelini, Jr. is admitted to the Illinois Supreme Court, the United States District for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Eastern Division of Wisconsin. Donald J. Angelini, Jr. has appeared, litigated and been admitted pro hoc vice in the states of California, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Indiana, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Ohio. Donald has argued cases before Illinois Appellate Court (First and Second District) and both civil and criminal cases before The United States Appellate Court (Seventh Circuit).


Donald lives in Oak Brook, Illinois with his wife and three sons. He serves as the attorney for the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL), and he is a former board member for the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI), formerly co-chairing its Rules and Ethics Committee.
